The core services to be provided are as follows:
Plan Design
· Review contracts and booklets
· Review amendments to all contracts
· Monitor plan design effectiveness, including case management, and network access, others
· Review, suggest and inform on plan design alternatives, including flexible benefits and voluntary benefits
· Provide current information on managed care delivery systems
Plan Administration
· Monitor claims utilization
· Resolve routine claim problems
· Resolve accounting, enrollment, reporting, billing and other client-related administrative issues
Financial
· Review and negotiate renewal proposals and assist in the renewal process
· Review and negotiate premium and claim experience on an ongoing basis
· Prepare annual reports regarding employee contributions
· Confirm renewal rating and other financial factors
· Review and negotiate alternative financial arrangements and refine current arrangement
· Review and negotiate pooling levels and charges
· Review and negotiate expense charges for plan administration
· Review provider reimbursement arrangements within managed care delivery systems
Compliance
· Prepare IRS Form 5500 and Schedules
· Assist in preparing summary annual report for participants
· Assist in preparing any ERISA notices
· Assist in state and federal compliance issues including, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, CCO, etc.
General Services
· Provide information of any changes and trends in employee benefits and government regulations, including, but not limited to: COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, Affordable Healthcare Act, etc.
· Provide information on administrators and providers
· Perform an administrator or provider search, including analysis and recommendation
· Fulfill stewardship obligations
We will provide you with a full disclosure of any commissions received for your account. Again, all Core Services will be compensated by receipt of commissions. Any additional services you may require, outside of the Core Services would be done on a discounted fee arrangement.
